Create your account

Head to the Sign Up for GatedLead page and create your GatedLead account.

Create your first Workspace

Content gates (that is content which you gate behind a form) are grouped into Workspaces.

Think of a workspace as a folder for your company or a brand.

To create a new workspace click the Add workspace button in the side nav bar.

After this, head to the branding tab to setup your custom branding.

Time to create a Content Gate

Now that you have a workspace, it's time to add your gated content!

In GatedLead a "Content Gate" is simply a piece of content that is gated behind a form.

To create a new content gate hit the "Add content gate" button for your workspace in the side nav bar.

Then

  1. Upload your content as a PDF file.
  2. Choose a title, a description, a submit button text, and an optional banner image.
  3. Now choose which fields you wish to include on your form.
  4. Select if you want to collect marketing consent when capturing a lead and specify a consent text; this may be required by GDPR or other regulations if you plan to use the collected information for other purposes.
  5. Choose a suitable email subject and body to accompany the download link sent to leads after submitting your content gate form.

Share your content Gate

Now that you created your content gate, you will want to share it.

We offer several options for sharing gated content:

  1. Shareable links: A standalone link that you can share. No website or integration needed at all.
  2. Embedded forms: A form embedded on your website.
  3. Embedded popups: A popup that is opened using a link on your website or using our script.

Follow the guide on the "Share" tab of the navigation header on the content gate page.

Go capture some leads!

All is set and ready; now go capture some leads!
